Day 114 - Electric bill.
My electric bill this month is triple what it has been the last two months. I have no idea how that is possible!
I keep my heat between 65-67 degrees when I am home and when I am gone for the day, it is usually around 62-63 degrees. I open my blinds and curtains during the day and close them at night. I do cook quite a bit, do laundry and blow dry my hair. Everything in my condo is run on electric (no gas stove or gas-powered dryer), but I still think this month’s bill is crazy.
There are two things I can think of that might have caused the spike - the crazy cold weather we had during December caused my heat to run more often, even if it was turned down OR my Christmas tree ate up more electricity than I thought.
I’ll see what it is next month and if it still super high, then I will really flip out.
*Another thought - Maybe it was all the Christmas cookies I baked!?
